Navigating the three-tiered distribution system – Golden Road has grown to 150 employees, doubled in size each year and helped develop the craft community and culture in L.A. In just a few short years, Meg has created partnerships with major retailers including HMSHost, Whole Foods Market, Trader Joe’s and Costco. Through targeted distribution of high-quality, fresh beer and community partnerships with local organizations like Heal the Bay and the Los Angeles River Revitalization Corporation, Golden Road Brewing hopes to grow craft share in its local market while becoming a symbol of the city of L.A.

She began her career in beer as a regional sales manager for Oskar Blues Brewery – one of the nation’s fastest growing breweries based in Lyons, Colorado.

In 2013, after witnessing the efforts of Heal the Bay volunteers on a surf trip, Gill commissioned a partnership to produce Golden Road’s first charity beer, Heal the Bay IPA. Partnering with groups such as Heal the Bay is an extension of the brewery’s mission to enhance life’s journey – not just through beer, but through active community involvement—and is one of Gill’s proudest accomplishments in building her business in Los Angeles. Meg sits on the board of the non-profit organization Heal the Bay and last year was elected to the YMCA of Metropolitan Los Angeles Board of Directors.
