Since its inception, MedMen has helped more than 100 businesses in the U.S. navigate the complexities of entering and succeeding in the legal marijuana market, from effectively completing state applications to managing the day-to-day operations of a mature business. In 2016, the firm launched MedMen Opportunity Fund, a $100 million private equity fund, and began deploying capital in several states and Canada.
Partnership With MedReleaf
In 2015, MedMen partnered with MedReleaf, Canada's largest producer and distributor of medical marijuana, opening opportunities for collaboration on product development and market penetration. MedMen shared its expertise on extraction, manufacturing, cultivation, product development, packaging and marketing. MedReleaf CEO Neil Closner joined MedMen's Board of Advisors at time.
