Foundation

MaXposure Media Group, LLC was incorporated in Miami Beach, Florida, United States in 2006 by publisher Vikas Johari and Editor-in-Chief & Editorial Director Jorge Arauz. The first office was set up at 1111 Lincoln Road, South Beach, Miami. The pilot issue of the flagship magazine, ANDpersand (a.k.a. &) was created from Johari's dorm room during his senior year at the University of Miami, where he studied with Arauz. In late summer 2006, Johari incorporated MaXposure Media Group (India) Pvt. Ltd. in New Delhi. In fall 2006, an Indian edition of ANDpersand was launched as a quarterly in Mumbai. It marked the 1-year anniversary since the magazine's pilot issue was created. In January 2007, the magazine was converted into a monthly publication. It was one of the first magazines in India to focus on the luxury segment.

2006 - 2011

In addition to ANDpersand, MaXposure Media Group (India) has launched various publications in different genres including AndMore' (fashion & style), Forms (interior design & architecture) and The BEAT (city & lifestyle). The company has in-house creative agency;MaXcom; an online outsourcing division, MaXposure Digital; and an events division, Equator.

In August 2009, the company began publishing SpiceRoute for SpiceJet Airlines. The in-flight magazine is the second contract publishing project for the company after Beyond Luxury'. In October 2009, MaXposure Media Group (India) launched the Indian edition of Italian hair & beauty magazine Estetica. It marks the magazine's 25th international edition. In June 2010, MaXposure Media Group (India) acquired the license for the Indian edition FHM from Next Gen Publishing Ltd. and Bauer Media Group in the United Kingdom. MaXposure Media Group (India) released the first issue of FHM since it acquired the licence in August 2010 with Lisa Haydon on the cover. FHM is the UK's biggest men's lifestyle media brand.

In Summer 2010, it launched Touchdown" Magazine and the Indian edition of MercedesMagazine. The former is the official magazine of the Mumbai international airport and published for GVK and Mumbai International Airport Ltd. (MIAL). MercedesMagazine is published exclusively for Mercedes-Benz India customers and was launched by Vidya Balan & Dr. Wilfried Aulbur, Managing Director & CEO, Mercedes-Benz India. In September 2010, MaXposure acquired the rights to publish Elite Life for ICICI Prudential customers, as well as the Indian edition of Diabetic Living, under license from Meredith Corporation. A month later, Elite Life was launched. In May 2011, MaXposure Media Group launched Diabetic Living, a quarterly magazine distributed nationally on newsstands, inside hospitals and to medical professionals and diabetics throughout India.

In Summer 2011, it won the bid to publish the in-flight magazine for Air India, India's oldest and largest airline, the inflight magazine is now called Shubh Yatra" Magazine. It features editorial coverage in both English and Hindi and reaches more than 2.5 million readers monthly. The acquisition positioned MaXposure as India's largest in-flight magazine publisher and the largest custom media publisher in India.

2011 - 2014

During the Gruner + Jahr era, it added Axis Bank magazines called Ascend and Homecoming, City Walker for Select Citywalk, Crossing Insights for Crossings Republik, Credai Times for Credai, Nissan magazine for Nissan Motor India Private Limited, Smart Trucking for Daimler India Commercial Vehicles, Milestones magazine for Ashok Leyland, Watts Up! for Havells, Circle magazine for Lifestyle Stores, Pantaloons magazine for Pantaloons Fashion & Retail, Promenade magazine for DLF Promenade, Ambience magazine for Ambience Malls, FDCI Dailies for Fashion Design Council of India, Isuzu Travelogue for Isuzu Motors India and India Perspective for Ministry of External Affairs (India)

2015 - Present

Post Gruner + Jahr exit in December 2014, MaXposure sold its consumer media business to a local company in March 2015 and to focus on its core business i.e. Custom media and inflight magazines.

In January 2015, it launched Vistara Inflight magazine for Air Vistara (A joint venture between Tata Sons Limited and Singapore Airlines Limited (SIA).

In November 2015, it won the contract for Indian Railways monthly magazine Rail Bandhu. The bi-lingual magazine is available on-board Shatabdi, Rajdhani and Duronto trains across the country. Its first issue under new contract was December 2015.

In December 2015, it launched Trujetter magazine for regional TruJet Airlines based out of Hyderabad.

In January 2016, it won rights to publish the monthly GoGetter magazine, the exclusive inflight magazine of GoAir and its first issue under new contract was February 2016 issue.Further in February, it bagged contract to publish FLY Smiles magazine for Bangalore-based airline called Air Pegasus. The first issue was April 2016.

In March 2016, it bagged the contract to publish the monthly Gulf Life magazine for Gulf Air, National Carrier of Kingdom of Bahrain. Its first issue was May 2016 and is published in English language and Arabic.

In June 2016, it was awarded the contract to publish Nawras, Air Arabia's monthly Inflight magazine. Air Arabia is the Sharjah-headquartered United Arab Emirates National budget airline with over 101 destinations in 32 countries worldwide. The magazine is published in 2 editions; Sharjah (English language, Arabic) and Morocco (English language, French language, Arabic). MaXposure's first issue will be September 2016.

On 23 August 2016, it was awarded the contract to publish SaudiGulf magazine for the Boutique Saudi Arabia airline called SaudiGulf. Its first issue will be November 2016 and it will be published bi-monthly in English language, Arabic

In early September 2016, it was awarded rights to publish The Oberoi Group magazine for Oberoi Hotels & Resorts (EIH Limited), with its first issue being Winter 2016. The Oberoi Group Magazine is an exclusive lifestyle and travel publication that caters to the interests and desires of the ultimate luxury consumer. The magazine is a quarterly and is distributed in Oberoi properties in India & across the globe.

The Year 2017 started strong with AirAsia_India awarding it's prestigious inflight magazine (Travel 3Sixty ) to the company. It's first issue will be April 2017. The magazine will have monthly frequency and published in English language. AirAsia_India is a joint venture between AirAsia Berhad & Tata Sons
