Matthew (Matt) Proman (born May 29, 1975) is an American entrepreneur, businessman, philanthropist and Founder of the National Association of Professional Women (NAPW). His early experience was in the direct marketing industry with experience in business to business, membership services and career development networking.

Cambridge Publishing
Proman founded Cambridge Publishing, a New York-based company, which specialized in business-to- business (B2B) and business-to- consumer (B2C) networking, targeted to executives, professionals and entrepreneurs. Cambridge Publishing was the largest paid professional networking platform in the United States. Within five years, Cambridge Publishing sales grew from $5 million to over $40 million. In 2007, Proman sold his equity in Cambridge Publishing for an undisclosed amount.
National Association of Professional Women (NAPW)
Founded by Proman in 2007, NAPW is the largest business network for professional women in the United States, spanning virtually every industry and profession. With over 500,000 members from diverse backgrounds, beliefs, perspectives and lifestyles, members share one common bond – their drive to succeed. Annual NAPW National Networking Conference
Created by Founder and CEO, Matthew Proman, annual NAPW National Networking Conferences present accomplished, influential business icons from varied fields of expertise, who impart their unique experiences of business success, advice and wisdom to inspire and empower NAPW members. The NAPW National Networking Conferences featured keynote speakers have included Ivanka Trump, Executive Vice President of Development and Acquisitions, The Trump Organization; Martha Stewart and Arianna Huffington.
Philanthropy
Proman leads a unique partnership with the Urban League that provides NAPW members the opportunity to mentor young girls who participate in the Urban League of Essex County’s Newark, New Jersey-based after school program. Proman’s charitable initiatives have included raising over $250,000 for such organizations as Mt. Sinai Hospital in New York City, the National Diabetes Foundation, the Jack Martin Foundation for Terminally Ill Children and other regional and local causes – creating a meaningful, positive impact on the lives of others. Support for other charities and nonprofit organizations focused on women’s issues and child wellness include the Jack Martin Fund at the pediatric oncology unit of Mt. Sinai Hospital, the American Cancer Society and the Jack Theissen Children’s Society.
Education scholarships
Proman created the NAPW Rising Stars Education Scholarship Program, awarding scholarships to graduating high school seniors and undergraduate students who attend an accredited college, university or certified trade school in the U.S. Open to daughters of organization members, the scholarships are awarded to five outstanding students.
