Matt Caria (born August 16, 1988) is a Canadian professional ice hockey player. He is currently playing with the Manchester Storm of the Elite Ice Hockey League (EIHL).

Playing career

Caria was named the 2004-05 Northern Ontario Junior Hockey League (NOJHL) Rookie of the Year, and was selected in the 6th round by the Toronto St. Michael's Majors in the 2004 Ontario Hockey League (OHL) Priority Selection. He played four seasons in the OHL, scoring 99 goals and 158 assists for 257 points, while earning 338 penalty minutes, in 239 games played.

He then played 14 professional games in the ECHL, with the Utah Grizzlies and the Florida Everblades, during the 2009–10 season before attending Lakehead University where he played four years (2009 to 2013) of Canadian Interuniversity Sport hockey within the Ontario University Athletics (OUA) West Conference. He was recognized for his outstanding play when he was named to the 2010–11 OUA West First All-Star Team and the 2011–12 OUA West Second All-Star Team.

After completing his university program, Caria joined the Kalamazoo Wings of the ECHL where he played the 2013–14 season, scoring 58 points in 68 games, and was named to the 2013–14 ECHL All-Rookie Team.
