Matoska International IB World School is an elementary school (K-5) in White Bear Lake, Minnesota, United States which is more commonly known as Matoska International. As an International Baccalaureate (IB) World School, they are aligned with the IB organization's mission, IB Learner Profile, and the Minnesota state standards. Matoska opened its doors to becoming an IB school in 2010, when both Parkview and Centerpoint elementary schools closed and merged into Matoska.

International Baccalaureate Program
There are many steps a school must take to become an International Baccalaureate school which can put rigorous work upon the facility. However once a school has taken the correct steps like Matoska has done, then there are certain criteria that the school must follow to continue to be an IB school. To be on the same page, IB is a framework for schools not curriculum that most people perceive it to be.
Each grade must find creative ways to implement IB thinking through six themes; be inquirers who make strong connections, use conceptual thinking, use critical thinking, collaborate with others, consider others perspectives, and reflect on their thinking and take action. Through using these six themes, Matoska's curriculum also includes the state standards, such as reading, math, science, and social studies.
Enrichment Programs
Matoska offers many enrichment programs that all grades get to participate in such as Art, Music, and Spanish Language. They also offer water safety lessons at the White Bear Lake YMCA for grades 2-5 along with exploring the surrounding community.
