The Mary District Library is located in Mary. Regional library of Turkmenistan, the largest in Mary District.

Contents

History

Construction began in February 2010. The library building was constructed by Turlish company Sedaş Inşaat in 2011 and located in the immediate vicinity of the Palace Ruhyet and the head of the mosque of Mary District. The cost of the building - $36.4 million. October 20, 2011 with the participation of President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov held the official opening ceremony.

Building

The building has a spherical shape, it is supported by columns 62. The height of the library is 42 meters. The three-storey building is designed for storage of three million books and visit the 600 readers. In the library includes: library, book shop, nine reading rooms, internet facilities, a separate reading room for the elders, office of special departments, conference rooms, children's room. Under the dome of the library, which is in the form of a tulip petals, placed a powerful telescope. The library is more than three million volumes.
