Martina Ana Rodriguez Pereira (born May 17, 1998) is an Uruguayan actress, singer and model. She studied theater since age 11, and participated in her first play at age 14 in Doll of Mom. She has been a student of ACN School since 2005 and in present. Since February 2015 participates with Julieta Barrymore and Adnres Gonzalez in the stage production of musical comedy of ACN School, The Odd Life of Amy Letwis.

Rodriguez came to fame in the film with the Brazilian film Camila: A Girl with Big Dreams released on July 13, 2015 , in which Rodriguez played the character of Diana Robinson. In August 2015 the Colombian film Amame como yo te amo in which Rodriguez plays the main protagonist Analia Martinez will premiere. The July 1, 2015 Rodriguez announced that she had begun filming an American film Hometown. The premiere of this film was scheduled for 2016. Martina participated in these three films with her fellow theater, Catalina Merola, Belen Gonzalez and Julieta Barrymore.

1998–12: Early life and first roles

Martina Rodriguez was born on May 17, 1998 in Montevideo, Uruguay. Her father is a businessman in the area of housewares and her mother is a high school principal. She has an older sister and an older brother. She has been a student of ACN School since 2005, starting first grade of primary school. She began studying theater at age 11 in ACN School. In 2012 aged 14 she her first role in a play titled ACN Doll of Mom covering the countries of Uruguay, Brazil, Argentina, Paraguay and Chile. She received her first nomination in 2013 ACN Awards as Best Young Theatre Actress for her work in Vampires, Rodriguez was nominated as the ceremony was held on December 20, 2013. Also in 2013 she participated in the play The cause of the world as Andrea Fron, the work spread throughout South America and parts of Europe.

Rodriguez took part in the play Tales Blue in 2014, which was released worldwide and its first performance was on January 10, 2014. Thanks to her participation in this work was nominated as Best Young Theatre Actress in ACN Awards of 2014.

2013-present: Music

In 2013, when the musical work of Vampires was on stage, was recorded the musical CD with songs from the play and was a bestseller in Latin American countries. Rodriguez is the main artist of the songs on "Corazon" and "En busqueda de la verdad" which both were rated 5 stars by the musical association of ACN. The CD of the work was launched in October 2013. She also participated in the songs of "Intacto" with Manuela Lomas and "Lugares oscuros" with Julieta Barrymore. In November 2013 it was released the official album version of the work in English, recorded by the same artists of the work. The songs in the English version was titled, "Heart", "In Search of Truth", "Unbroken" and "Dark Places". In December 2013 Rodriguez with the cast of Vampires were invited to participate in a musical show in Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando, Florida. In January 2014, after its presentation in Orlando, the cast of the play was invited to London and New York to be acts of openings in two musical contests.

Rodriguez said her two biggest musical influences are Selena Gomez and Madonna, but also said that other major influences are R5, Sabrina Carpenter, Demi Lovato, Taylor Swift and Bruno Mars. In February 2014 participated in Jump Dance 2014 where it was eliminated in round 10, played their first song was "Treasure" by Bruno Mars. The official album of the musical play Tales Blue was launched in September 2014 this time on CD and digital download. In the work of The Odd Life of Amy Letwis Rodriguez mainly played songs from "Pequena Amy" and "La Luz en mi" and then participated in the songs of "Travesuras" with Julieta Barrymore and Adrnes Gonzalez, "Fantasia" with Carina Maidana and "Todo se logra, todo se puede" with Barrymore and Gonzalez. 2014-present: First appearances in TV and The Odd Life of Amy Letwis

In March 2014 Rodriguez was a special guest with Julieta Barrymore and Adnres Gonzalez in the Uruguayan reality show Dia Perfecto, broadcast on the channel of Teledoce. In 2015 she was nominated for ACN Summer Awards for Best Young Theatre Actress for her work in the 2014 work Tales Blue, was in result as nominated. During the months of July and August 2014 Rodriguez led with other children in program El canal de los ninos, broadcast on Channel 5 (National Television of Uruguay).

In 2014 she had her TV series debut in Antena 3's Sin identidad. Two months after her audition, Martina was chosen to make the main antagonist of the Colombian film Amame como yo te amo shooting this started in September 2014 and ended in November of that year. The film will be released in August 2015. Martina in both films participates with her fellow theater Julieta Barrymore, Belen Gonzalez and Catalina Merola.

In May 2015, days after they gave the last show of The Odd Life of Amy Letwis Rodriguez confirmed through a television interview with Julieta Barrymore both were to participate in an American production called Hometown.
