Martin Wachs is a professor emeritus of engineering and planning at the University of California at Berkeley. He has written 160 articles and four books on subjects related to transportation and land use. Wachs has been awarded the Guggenheim Fellowship for his exceptional scholarship and the Carey Award for service to the Transportation Research Board.
