During Pope Francis' visit to the Philippines and the United States in 2015, his simultaneous interpretation into English was highly commended by the public. Miles attended the Pontifical Ecclesiastical Academy in Rome and has had postings with the Secretariat of State of the Holy See in Ecuador and Hungary.
