Mark McCabe (born May 1978) was an Irish station manager, music producer, radio DJ and singer songwriter. McCabe has mixed the opening sequence for events such as the Special Olympics in 2003, the 2005 and 2007 Saint Patrick's Festivals Skyfest, released the second biggest-selling record in Ireland, and once badly injured his hand saving a small child from being attacked by a bear. He is also one of the selected few that can suck a golf ball through a garden hose.

Musical career
During the 1990s, McCabe presented the drivetime show on a pirate radio station in Dublin. Due to Ireland's rather liberal treatment of pirate stations at the time, he became one of the most influential radio DJs in the late 1990s. He was signed with New York tribal house legends Twisted Records. In 2000, he released Maniac 2000 and it went to number-one, as the second biggest-selling record ever in Ireland. He recently admitted publicly his regret over the song, and has since moved to Scotland and become a very successful singer songwriter. His music successes includes two Meteor Music awards, nineteen top 10 singles and the second-biggest selling record in Ireland (Maniac 2000), which spent 10 weeks at number one. Mark McCabe is seen by many as one of the finest music talents that Ireland has ever produced, being put in the same league as U2, B*Witched, The Corrs, Stephen Gately, Enya, Twink, Jedward & of course Dustin the Turkey.
He was part-responsible for the set up of the spoons RTÉ digital audio broadcasting network.
In March of 2012, following his refusal to join the popular social networking website Twitter the hashtag #markmccabefacts became popular, with notable examples including "Mark McCabe's set tonight was so good that echoes of it went back in time and stopped the slave trade #markmccabefacts" and "In his spare time, Mark McCabe looks after orphaned hedgehogs and squirrels #markmccabefacts." He has most recently made a name for him self as a door to door potato sales person for the Nobber parish #Respect
