Marinduque airport
Marinduque Airport (Filipino: Paliparan ng Marinduque) (IATA: MRQ, ICAO: RPUW) is the only airport located on and serving the island province of Marinduque in the Philippines. The airport is located in Barangay Masiga in the town of Gasan, near the border with the provincial capital, Boac. It is classified as a Class 2 principal (minor domestic) airport by the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines, a body of the Department of Transportation and Communications that is responsible for the operations of not only this airport but also of all other airports in the Philippines except the major international airports.

Airlines and destinations
No airline serves Marinduque since May 10, 2013. The runway renovation was interrupted in 2015 (after a period of 24/7 construction effort). Presently the runway length therefore is only 2 x 700m with a ~120m gap in the middle since both halves have not been connected. The airport is presently being used by a private flying-school.
It is not known when the renovation works will be resumed and the ~350 feet of runway needed to unite both parts of the runway will be finished, which would make the airport operational again.
Zest Airways (now AirAsia Zest) previously used a Xian MA-60 aircraft while Philippine Airlines used with its fleet of YS-11, and later Fokker 50 aircraft, before ceasing the route during the Asian financial crisis.
