Maria Jose Torrenegra is a beauty queen who represented Colombia in Miss World 2007 in Sanya, China.

Maria Jose Torrenegra Ariza (Barranquilla, Colombia, 27 October 1984). Maria Jose won the national beauty contest to represent Colombia in Miss World 2007 at Sanya, China. Graduated with a bachelor of science in Business Administratation from Universidad Autonoma Del Caribe in July, 2007 in Barranquilla, Colombia. Also has a Master in Business Management (2012 - 2013) in the same University. She worked five years as a model in multiple events and marketing campaigns while studied at the university; one of her most important achievement as a fashion model when she was chosen to work as one of the CHICA AGUILA 2009, chosen at the end of the year 2008 amongst more than 30 participants in the country. Since the 80s, every year 4 models are selected to work as CHICA AGUILA in Colombia, these four models sign off a full year contract, representing exclusivily the most important traditional brand and well recognized beer in Colombia: Cerveza Aguila.
