Maria Elena Gonzalez Calderon is a Puerto Rican attorney. She is the daughter of former Governor of Puerto Rico Sila Calderon, and served as her First Lady, along with her sister, Sila Maria.

In 2000, her mother, Sila Calderon was elected Governor of Puerto Rico, and Maria Elena was appointed by her mother to serve the duties as First Lady, along with her sister Sila Maria. She has two daughters Maria Cecilia and Isabel Cristina Abreu.

Calderón serves as a partner at Inter-American Global Links, Inc. (IGlobaL), a consulting firm specializing in business and trade with connections across Central America, the Caribbean, and the United States. She also leads a philanthropic foundation that has established The Center for Puerto Rico: Sila M. Calderón Foundation, a non-profit and non-partisan organization dedicated to addressing poverty, women's issues, urban revitalization, ethical values, and social responsibility.
