Marcello Arrambide, or "WanderingTrader", is an American travel blogger, day trader, and entrepreneur. He has been featured on CNN, Huffington Post, and the BBC. He has given advice to other aspiring travel bloggers, which has been featured on CNN. He’s been traveling around the world, while making money day trading in the U.S. stock market, and has even visited Antarctica. He has also been interviewed for the BBC.

Background

Arrambide was born in a third world country and moved to the United States when he was very young. He attended the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania and received his bachelor's degree in Finance from the University of Tampa. He has lived in ten countries across four continents and visited roughly 70 countries.

Business

The Day Trading Academy was started in 2011 by Marcello Arrambide, a professional day trader since 2002 and a globe trotter who also founded the popular Wandering Trader website.

Recognition

Arrambide has been highlighted and recognized in many publications due to his unique lifestyle, including the New York Times bestselling book, How to Travel the World on $50 a Day. He was also quoted in the book The Little Blue Book of Travel Wisdom. One of the must read travel blogs of 2015 by Tripit, Investopedia considers Day Trading Academy to be one of the best trading schools for futures contracts, and he has also been featured on the hit TV show House Hunters when he was opening his new trading center in Medellin, Colombia.

Kidnapping

In 2016 Arrambide was kidnapped at gunpoint in Caracas and robbed of the $50 he was hiding in his pants.
