Marcel Messing (born in 1945) is a Dutch writer of novels, essays, and columns. He lives in the French Pyrenees where he studied the Cathars. Marcel Messing mastered in anthropology, filosophy and religious sciences. He is the author of 25 books and innumerable articles, and has collaborated with Prana and Insight. He has worked as Dean in higher professional education and has acted for years as scientific contributor of the Bibliotheca Philosophica Hermetica in Amsterdam. Messing is a public speaker and activist, well-known for establishing a synthesis between oriental and occidental mystical systems. Several of his books have been published outside the Netherlands and he was a student with several Tibetan rinpoches. Marcel is active as chairman of the Lindenhof foundation that is closely working in humanitarian projects in India and Poland.
