She left the school with Andrés Goddzer (Daniel Hendler), and had sex with him in his car. She got pregnant, but thought that she was pregnant of Pablo Catáneo. Her father Clemente (Juan Leyrado) forced them to a shotgun wedding, to make sure that the kid had a family. She stayed friend with fellow student Victoria Lauría (Paola Barrientos).

María Laura Falsini met Andrés again 18 years later. A DNA test confirmed that he was the biological father of Martín (Gastón Soffritti), María Laura's son. The plots involving María Laura Falsini usually focused on her cheating husband, her renewed love for Andrés Goddzer and the secrets of Patricia Longo (Isabel Macedo), her father's new young wife, who was revealed to be her fellow student Jimena Benítez.
