1984 - 2004

The company was incorporated in 1984 by Mr. Purushottam Mandhana and his brother Mr. Biharilal Mandhana. The organization started with a processing unit with a capacity of 10,00,000 metres per month and began exporting fabric in 1998. In 2002, the company set up a weaving unit in Tarapur with a capacity of 5,00,00 m per month. In 2003, the company entered the manufacturing of garments with a unit in Bengaluru to produce 1,20,000 garments per month. In 2004, the company augmented weaving its weaving capacities in Tarapur with 2,00,000 m per month.

2005 – Present

In 2005, the company increased the capacity of its Tarapur plant to a capacity of 8,00,000 m per month and also set up a new yard dyeing plant in the same location with a capacity of 1,50,000 kg per month. In the same year, Mandhana Industries entered international markets with Mandhana Europe set up with its liaison office in Paris. In 2006, the company set up new garment units in Bengaluru and Mumbai to manufacture an additional 1,30,000 garments every month. An additional garment unit in Bengaluru was then set up in Bengaluru to roll out additional 50,000 pieces monthly. In 2009, the company commenced Continuous Dyeing Range/Continuous Bleaching Range processing with printing having a capacity of 26,00,000 m per month and also increased the capacity to 1,00,000 kg per month in the yarn dyeing unit.

In 2010, the company raised an IPO of INR 107.90 Cr. 2011 saw the company increasing its weaving capacities from 15,00,000 m per month to 30,00,000 m per month. In 2011, Mandhana collaborated with Being Human – The Salman Khan Foundation and in 2012, launched Being Human Clothing in the Middle East through a strategic tie – up with the Landmark Group, and in India in 2013. The company successively established a garment unit in 2013 in Tarapur with a capacity of 20,00,000 pieces annually and another in Baramati with a capacity of producing 20,00,000 pieces annually .
