History

Mama Mikes was started in 2001 by Georgetown University Graduate and Stanford University Fellow Segeni Ngethe a Kenyan Software developer, who studied and lived in America for 9 years. He began it after seeing a need among Africans living in the Diaspora to send more than "just money" back home. It began with 3 part-time employees but now has employees and partnerships across Kenya and Uganda.
