Biography
Bajaj was born in Mumbai, the youngest child of R.K. and Abha Bajaj. She began playing tennis at the age of six, but was forced out of the sport by an ankle injury. While waiting on university admission results to a Media Studies program in Australia, she took an internship with an online business daily, where she produced video stories for the site. She turned to film-making, and produced a documentary along with fellow injured sportsman Sandeep Mukherjee. The film, titled Play and Stay, was a tie-in with the International Tennis Federation's campaign of the same name. Her video work paved the way to a part-time anchor spot at a Mumbai television news program, and ultimately to her role as the host of the Davis Cup.
Bajaj has also appeared as a sportscaster at the 2010 Australian Open tennis tournament, followed by a broadcast of the Australian Football League (AFL), and she has written for Advantage Tennis.
