The Malacca Planetarium (Malay: Planetarium Melaka) is a planetarium in Ayer Keroh, Central Malacca District, Malacca, Malaysia.
Contents
History
The planetarium was officiated by Malacca Chief Minister Mohd Ali Rustam on 10 August 2009. It is the second planetarium opened in Malacca after the Al-Khawarizmi Astronomy Complex in Masjid Tanah.
Architecture
The planetarium was built with the Islamic architecture and a landing UFO with a cost of MYR20 million over an area of 0.7 hectares and 3 floors. It consists of four sections, which are astronomy, outer space, simulation and physics.
Exhibitions
The planetarium exhibits the magnificent cosmos, history of astronomy and astronomers, and also various attractions.
