Malacca bird park october 2013
The Malacca Bird Park (Malay: Taman Burung Melaka) is a bird park in Ayer Keroh, Malacca, Malaysia. With a total area of 1.8 hectares, it is the largest bird park in Asia.

History
The construction of the bird park was completed on 28 February 2013 with a cost of MYR30 million. On 24 March 2013, the park was officiated in a ceremony attended by Malacca Chief Minister Mohd Ali Rustam and Tourism Minister Ng Yen Yen. The park was then fully opened to the public on 1 April 2013.
Architecture
The exterior of the bird park resembles a downscaled stadium with greenery and parrot perched model on the welcoming sign. The park is also equipped with restaurant, souvenir shop, toilet, prayer room, children playground, resting area, stage and car park.
Exhibitions
The bird park houses a collection of almost 700 bird species.
Opening time
The bird park opens everyday from 9.00 a.m. to 8.00 p.m.
