The making waves academy story

Middle school

Making Waves Academy first started in 2007 with 100 fifth graders. Every year there is a lottery through which 100 students are accepted to attend the school. Students who do not make this cut are put onto a waiting list. Making Waves Academy Middle School starts at 5th grade. The latest that a person on the waiting list can be accepted to the academy is 6th grade. There are approximately 400 students enrolled from 5th grade to 8th grade.

Upper school

Making Waves Academy refers to high school as "Uuper school". This serves approximately 400 9th to 12th graders, and started in 2011.

The upper school offers a variety of sports including boys' and girls' soccer, baseball, softball, cross country, boys' and girls' basketball, and boys' and girls' volleyball.
