The name "Make America Rock Again" comes as reference to the "Make America Great Again" slogan, according to their website the promoters have felt that rock has been considered an underground genre for the past few years, and maybe if they had a number of bands who had success as rock bands in the 2000s decade get together and go out on one big tour it would rejuvenate the rock genre, bring back interest to rock artists and Make America Rock Again.
