Winning streaks

The longest winning start to a season was achieved by Los Angeles Galaxy in 1996, who opened the campaign with 12 consecutive wins and won their first eight games in regulation.

The longest winning end to a season was achieved by the Los Angeles Galaxy in 1997, who closed the campaign with six straight wins.

Undefeated streaks

The longest unbeaten start to a season was achieved by both the Los Angeles Galaxy in 2010 and Real Salt Lake in 2014, who both opened their campaigns with 12 unbeaten matches (with 10 wins, 2 draws and 6 wins, 6 draws, respectively).

The longest unbeaten end to a season was achieved by the Columbus Crew in 2004, who closed the campaign 18 matches unbeaten (with eight wins and 10 draws).

Streaks

The longest road trip a team has played during the regular season was recorded by Sporting Kansas City in 2011. They opened the season with ten straight games on the road due to the completion of Livestrong Sporting Park in the early part of the 2011 season, so the club elected to play its first ten games away, rather than find a temporary venue.

The record for longest home stand a team has played during the regular season is shared by Chicago Fire in 2006 and Sporting Kansas City in 2011. They played nine consecutive games at home.

The highest number of points achieved by a team in the regular season was 68 (24–8–2), by LA Galaxy in 1998.

The highest number of points achieved by a team at home during a regular season was 41 (12–0–5) by LA Galaxy in 2011 and (13-2-2) by the New York Red Bulls in 2016.

The highest number of points achieved by a team on the road during a regular season was 37 (13–3), by the LA Galaxy in 1998.

The most draws achieved by a team during a regular season was 18, by Chicago Fire in 2014.
