Career

Majid also oversaw the 2015 Bangladesh Tour in Chittigong. During the Tour, K Electric competed with top Asian clubs. K Electric scored five goals in their three matches and Majid brought in the first ever Caucasian British player into a Pakistani Pro Club side (Jon Ashworth). There was only 3 days preparation for the tour and despite this handicap, his players put up a solid stand in front of millions in the TV audience. He was commended at his press conferences for his intellectual approach to coaching and humble phrases, despite being the future hope of millions of Pakistani football followers.

United Kingdom

Previously, Majid set up the largest Professional Football Academy in the UK outside League Clubs. Stalybridge Celtic Football Academy enrolled over 300 players aged 16–19yrs over the period of 2010 - 2013, commonly players released by Pro clubs including Manchester City FC, Burnley FC, Rochdale FC and Oldham Athletic. One of Majid's initiatives included the introduction of several South Asian-origin players who have since gone on to playing in the US or in the UK.

In 1999, Majid led the Maine Rd team to international success by winning the Umbro International Cup. Under his coaching, the team defeated national teams from the US, Thailand and Norway as well as beating Morecombe and Flixton to win the competition. Majid was 26 at the time, one of the youngest coaches overseeing a top level youth squad.

APFA

Majid was invited by the APFA (All Pakistan Football and Futsal Alliance) to lead as the Chairman. APFA was asked by the Pakistan Football Federation to join forces as a partner in April 2015. The ongoing PFF leadership dilemma led to Majid postponing this partnership until the PFF stabilises with a clear future football plan.
