Uses

Magnesium glycinate has been studied with applicability to patients with a bowel resection or pregnancy-induced leg cramps.

There is a report on comparative absorption often cited as evidence for superior bioavailability of magnesium glycinate over other magnesium supplements. The differences are described as Mg bisglycinate being 2.3X greater than Mg carbonate; 3.6X greater than Mg sulfate and 8.8X greater than Mg oxide.
