Madhuca erythrophylla is a plant in the Sapotaceae family. It grows as a tree up to 20 metres (70 ft) tall, with a trunk diameter of up to 30 centimetres (12 in). The bark is dark brown. Inflorescences bear up to six flowers. The specific epithet erythrophylla is from the Greek meaning "red leaves". Habitat is lowland mixed dipterocarp forests from sea-level to 100 metres (300 ft) altitude. M. erythrophylla is found in Sumatra, Peninsular Malaysia and Borneo.
