Mac Malware includes viruses, trojan horses, worms and other types of malware that affects the Mac Operating System. Apple’s OS X is considered less vulnerable from malware or any virus attacks as there is a frequent release of software updates to find and remove mac defender malwares.

Ransomware
Apple was shut down by the first-ever ransomware attack against Mac users, encrypting the user's confidential information in the month of March 2016. After completing the encryption process, KeRanger demands that victims to pay one bitcoin (about $400) for the user to gain back the credentials.
