The MV Malibu Papoose is used extensively to ferry passages to and from Young Life’s Malibu Club and Malibu Beyond hiking program. It is owned and operated by Malibu Yacht Charters located in Egmont British Columbia. The Malibu Papoose was built in 1974 by Uniflite Corporation of Bellingham,WA and was designed specifically as a U.S. Navy utility boat. It was bought as surplus and brought to Canada in 1975 where it was modified with a new 300 Hp Volvo engine, a new wheel house, forecastle storage area, and a covered passenger seating area.
