Lynn Arturi-Chiavaro (Class of 1977) is a member of the Northeastern University athletics Hall of Fame. Chiavaro was inducted in 1984 for her excellence in basketball and lacrosse. Chiavaro was head coach at Army for 11 seasons.

Playing career

Chiavaro is one of the best athletes to ever attend Northeastern University. Chiavaro lettered from 1973 to 1976 where she captained the team. Former Northeastern men's basketball coach Jim Calhoun once rated Chiavaro as one of the best shooters he had ever laid eyes on.

In 1978 Chiavaro was drafted by the New York Stars of the short lived Women's Professional Basketball League.

Coaching career

Chiavaro became an assistant coach at Iona College during the 1981 and 1982 seasons before moving on to Army becoming their head coach. During her 11 seasons at Army and compiled a 132–160 record. Chiavaro is still the longest tenured women's basketball coach in Army history.
