Liskeard lux park


Lux Park Leisure Centre is a leisure centre in the town of Liskeard which also serves the surrounding area. The centre began in the 1970s as an outdoor swimming pool but has since been enlarged and has since won an award.

Facilities

Facilities at Lux Park include: a fitness suite; a dance studio and multi purpose room; a sports hall; tennis and squash courts; an indoor bowling green; a health suite including a spa, steam room and sauna; and a coffee shop which has recently achieved the gold Cornwall Healthier Eating and Food Safety (CHEFS) award.[1]

Lux Park Leisure Centre also hosts a large number of fitness classes run by qualified staff and it also runs several national courses including the NPLQ Course and First Aid at Work Course.

Notable people associated with the Centre

  • Cassie Pattern - Olympic Bronze Medalist [2]. Worked as a lifeguard at the Leisure Centre.
  • Trevor Woodman - Former England Rugby Union Player who belonged to the Liskeard Looe Rugby/Football club which is situated in the grounds of Lux Park.
