He has been Vice President of the Chamber of Deputies in the Italian Parliament since 21 March 2013. At the age of 26, he was the youngest Vice President of the Italian Chamber of Deputies ever elected.
In September 2017 he won the primary election to be the Prime Minister candidate of the M5S in the 2018 election.
