Ludvig Rosenkrantz (18 April 1628 – 23 August 1685) was a Danish-born civil servant, nobility and land owner who settled in Norway.

He was born in Odense to colonel Holger Frederiksen Rosenkrantz and Justine Ursula Lowich. He married Karen Mowat in 1657 or 1658, and they had four sons and five daughters. In 1679 he married and Clara Catharina von Stockhausen.

Through his marriage with Karen Mowat, daughter of admiral Axel Mowat and heiress of large land properites in Western Norway, Rosenkrantz achieved an estate which eventually formed the basis for the Barony Rosendal. He was the first baron in Norway. He was appointed county manager in Stavanger, and served as war commissioner for Norway from 1673. He was decorated with the Order of Dannebrog in 1684.
