Loyola University of the Pacific (ULP) is located in the port city of Acapulco, Mexico. It was founded by a group of Acapulcan entrepreneurs to contribute to the technological and cultural advancement of the city. It is owned and run by the Society of Jesus (Jesuits).

Relationship with the UIA & ITESO
In February 1992, Loyola University and the Universidad Iberoamericana signed an agreement for cooperation and academic exchange in accord with the ideology, educational philosophy, and other basic documents of the Universidad Iberoamericana, which in turn would offer academic and administrative advice for the proper functioning of Loyola University. This agreement facilitated the use of programs, curricula, and teaching methods of the Universidad Iberoamericana at Loyola University of the Pacific.
Legal constitution
ULPAC (Loyola University of the Pacific AC) was legally constituted in the City and Port of Acapulco by EISAAC (Higher Education and Research Acapulco Civil Association), and before the Public Notary.
Mission
Academic formation of men and women in Ignatian humanism to contribute responsibly to sustainable economic, political, and social development of the region and the country, through the furtherance and dissemination of knowledge and culture that favors the achievement of social justice, equity, and solidarity in an atmosphere of openness, freedom, and respect.
Vision
Loyola University, inspired by the Ignatian educational model, strives to offer in Acapulco an education of superior academic quality and social relevance, contributing through its graduates to sustainable development of the country, along with the promotion of justice, equity, and solidarity.
Academics
Curricula have been developed in conjunction with all the universities of the Jesuit University System, to be very similar to that of the six establishments of the Ibero and ITESO. Loyola's faculty includes more than 160 professors, current in their professional knowledge and teaching strategies. An integral education is offered including more than fifteen workshops along with conferences, congresses, and study trips.
Masters
Loyola University of the Pacific has four master's degrees and a specialty.
Extracurricular offerings
For Loyola, college life is much more than attending classes to obtain a degree. An integral education is promoted, through participation in a wide range of extracurricular activities.
Sports Activities
Sports activities are organized each semester. Intercollegiate sports tournaments are organized among the Universiade and INTERSUJ group: the Iberians of Mexico City, Leon, Puebla, Tijuana, and Torreon, ITESO of Guadalajara, Ayuuk of Oaxaca, and Rafael Landivar University of Guatemala.
Facilities
Loyola campus extends over fifteen square kilometers, and is favored by nature, by its view, its breadth, and its cool microclimate.
Botanical Garden
The botanical garden "Esther Pliego de Salinas" opened on 2 March 2002 within the premises of Loyola University of the Pacific, and is cared for by the First Garden Club in Acapulco.
