Louise Golbey is a British singer, songwriter and musician. Born in London, Golbey grew up in a musical family, her grandfather played classical violin, her uncle plays guitar, her mother sings and her father plays various instruments. Brought up in Bournemouth, Louise moved back to her home city after University to pursue her own career as a musician.

She has played at legendary London venues including Ronnie Scotts, The London Hippodrome, The Jazz Café and will be headlining PizzaExpress Jazz Club in April 2016. She has worked on tracks with Example and Newham Generals (signed to Dizzie Rascal ’s Dirtee Stank label) and has supported and shared the stage with a number of acclaimed artists over the course of her career including Jessie J, Paloma Faith, Katy B, Mikill Pane, Ryan Keen. Mr Hudson, Lianne La Havas, Omar, Roy Ayers, Anthony David, Alexander O'Neal, Mitch Winehouse in aid of The Amy Winehouse Foundation) and Ed Sheeran (who also appears in one of Louise’s music videos and even mentions her in his ‘thank yous’ on his first album + (Ed Sheeran album).

One of her biggest gigs to date was opening for the legendary George Benson at Kenwood House Picnic Concert in front of 6,000 people. In addition, she also supported The Stylistics on their sold out UK tour which included venues such as Liverpool Philharmonic Hall, The Brighton Centre and Indig02 (in London’s 02 Arena). She opened for Roberta Flack at The Indig02 and most recently was asked to support En Vogue there on March 1, 2016.

Her first full studio album - Novel was released in 2015. Mixed and mastered by Mercury Prize nominee producer Drew 'Beats' Horley (Estelle (musician), De La Soul, Ty (rapper), Nate James) and includes special guests Omar, Morris Pleasure, (Michael Jackson, Earth, Wind & Fire, Roberta Flack) recorded at Metropolis Studios and a track produced by Aamir Yaqub (Grammy winner for Rihanna's Unapologetic album). Novel has received rave reviews and has been championed by DJ's such as MistaJam on BBC Radio 1Xtra, Chris Philips on Jazz FM (UK), Ronnie Herel on Mi- Soul and TV and Radio presenter Toby Anstis.
