She entered the adult industry at 24 years old, in February 2008; she filmed her first scene in a video produced by Fabien Lafait, whom she had previously met during a visit to an erotic fair in Bordeaux. In the early 2010s, Charmelle also shot movies in the United States and was featured several times in the French mainstream media. In 2010, the magazine Les Inrockuptibles called her the "rising star" of French pornographic films. In February 2012, interviewed by Katsuni for Les Inrockuptibles, she said that she was thinking about retiring from porn for the sake of her boyfriend. She announced her retirement in October of the same year.
