Loose Cannon Studios L.L.C. was an independent American video game developer based in Kirkland, Washington. The company was founded in 2005 by Dev Madan and Matthew Scott, formerly of Sucker Punch Productions, and Ricci Rukavina, who held creative and production positions at Universal Interactive Studios and Vivendi Games. History

Madan, former art director at Sucker Punch Productions who worked on their first title Rocket Robot on Wheels and all three original Sly Cooper titles, teamed up with another former Sucker Puncher, Matt Scott, who was also on the Sly Cooper projects as an engineer. In 2006 they joined up to form Loose Cannon Studios with a friend Ricci Rukavina, who had a background at Walt Disney and Vivendi Games. Together they began to work on independent projects, one of which became known as Zephyr: Rise of the Elementals, which was later renamed to Tornado Outbreak. In 2008, they began to work with Konami to finish Tornado Outbreak.

Closure

In December 2010 Loose Cannon Studios was bought by PopCap Games. In 2013 their website was shut down. Madan moved over as Art Lead and later Art Director, Scott took the role of Sr. Technical Director and later Franchise Director over PvZ. Many other LCS developers began working on PopCap titles, including the Bejeweled and Plants vs. Zombies series.
