Logi started his managerial career in charge of Valur women's side for two seasons, before moving on to manage Víkingur in 1990, also spending two seasons there. In 1993, he became the coach of the Iceland women's national football team, but left the following year. He then spent a season at ÍA.

He was also in charge of the Iceland national team between 1996 and 1997, and then returned to ÍA. From 2000 to 2001, he was the manager of FH, leaving to join Norwegian club Lillestrøm as an assistant to Arne Erlandsen. In 2003, he returned to manage the men's national team, this time in a joint role with Ásgeir Sigurvinsson.

In 2007, he took charge of KR, but was fired three years later for a poor start in the league. He was not out of a job for long, as he joined Selfoss, and stayed there for three seasons. In 2013, he spent a season in charge of Stjarnan.
