Lliam Webster (born 19 February 1986) is an Australian ice hockey player currently playing for the Melbourne Ice in the Australian Ice Hockey League.

Playing career

Webster first played ice hockey for the Melbourne Jets in 2001. He continued to play for the Jets until the end of the 2003 season. Following the completion of the 2003 season Webster moved to Selkirk, Manitoba, Canada where he joined the Selkirk Steelers of the Manitoba Junior Hockey League for the 2003-04 season. Webster played only one game for the Steelers and returned to Australia where he joined the Melbourne Ice of the Australian Ice Hockey League for the 2004 AIHL season. Following the end of the 2004 season Webster returned to Canada to join the Aurora Tigers of the Ontario Junior A Hockey League. He played ten games for the Tigers before being moved to the Thornhill Thunderbirds of the same league. Webster again moved back to Australia following the end of the season to compete in his second season for the Ice. For the 2005-06 season Webster joined Sport of the Finnish Mestis league and also their under-20 team which compete in the Jr. A I-divisioona league. After the end of the season Webster returned to Australia to play for the Ice in the 2006 season before returning to Finland to rejoin Sport. During the 2006-07 season Webster only played one game for sport. After the end of the season he played exclusively for the Melbourne Ice before joining the Hannover Pferdeturm Towers of the German Regionalliga. He then returned to Australia to play for the Ice and was promoted as team captain for the 2010 season. For the start of the 2011 season Webster gave up the teams captaincy and was named one of the teams alternate captains

Webster was first called up to represent Australia in 2001 where he joined the national under-18 team to compete at the IIHF Asian Oceanic U18 Championships. Webster played again for the under-18 team in 2002 at the Asian Oceanic U18 Championships and in 2003 at the 2003 IIHF World U18 Championships. In 2004 Webster joined the national senior team to compete at the Ice Hockey World Championships. In 2008 he equally recorded the most goals in the Division II Group B tournament with five. At the 2011 IIHF World Championship Division II Group A tournament Webster was named the Australian alternate captain.
