Ljubibratić noble family

The Ljubibratić (Serbian Cyrillic: Љубибратић) were a powerful Serbian noble family in the Travunia region (Herzegovina) during the 14th and 15th centuries under the Serbian Despotate. The Ljubibratićs were known to be warriors and also Orthodox priests. The Ljubibratić were claimed to be kin to the Mrđenović and Ohmućević families.

Among noble families in the Trebinje region mentioned in Ragusan documents were Ljubibratić, Starčić, Popović, Krasomirić, Preljubović, Poznanović, Dragančić, Kobiljačić, Paštrović, Zemljić and Stanjević.

  • Damjan Ljubibratić (fl. 1596 – 1605), Serbian Orthodox monk and diplomat, the secretary of Patriarch Jovan Kantul (s. 1592–1614)
  • Savatije Ljubibratić (fl. 1687 – d. 1716), Serbian Orthodox bishop and caretaker of the Dragović monastery
  • Jeronim Ljubibratić (1716 – 1 November 1779), Ragusan military commander serving the Habsburg Monarchy
  • Mićo Ljubibratić (1839 – February 26, 1889), Serbian Orthodox priest and rebel leader in Herzegovina
