It was released in December 1997 as the third and final single from his CD The Best of Collin Raye: Direct Hits. The song was a Top 5 hit on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart. He sang it on an episode of Walker, Texas Ranger.

The narrator has been left by a woman who is convinced he is not committed to their relationship. He describes the vehicle she's driving, a candy apple red Isuzu Rodeo with Texas license plates, as he attempts to find her and assure her of his feelings.

Chart performance

The song debuted at number 46 on the Hot Country Songs chart dated December 20, 1997. It charted for 22 weeks on that chart, and reached a peak of number 3 on the chart dated March 14, 1998.
