Little Brothers – Friends of the Elderly is a network of non-profit , volunteer-based organizations located in the United States that are committed to relieving isolation and loneliness among the elderly.

Chapters are located in following US cities: Boston, Chicago, Cincinnati, Hancock, Michigan, Omaha, Philadelphia, San Francisco and Minneapolis.

Little Brothers – Friends of the Elderly is a member of the International Federation of Little Brothers of the Poor (French: Fédération Internationale des petits frères des Pauvres) with sister organizations in France, Germany, Poland, Switzerland, Spain, Ireland, United-States of America and Canada.

History

Little Brothers – Friends of the Elderly was founded 1959 as Little Brothers of the Poor by Michael Salmon in Chicago. It is an offspring of a French non-profit organization called les petits frères des Pauvres that was founded in Paris, France in 1946 by Armand Marquiset.
