This list of tallest buildings in Kolkata enumerates high-rises in Kolkata. Kolkata has 2nd most number of high-rise buildings in India after Mumbai. More than 800 high-rises are already constructed in the city and more are under construction. Urbana which topped out in 2014 is currently the tallest building in the city with a height of 168 metres (551 ft) consisting of 46 floors. Urbana is also the tallest building in Eastern India.

Overview
Kolkata has numerous high-rises in Chowringhee which is the Central Business District Area or CBD of the city. Chatterjee International Center (24 floors) was the tallest office building in the city and also the tallest of its type in all of Eastern India with a height of 91 metres (299 ft). It was opened in 1976 in Chowringhee, thus making it one of the oldest high-rises in the city. Several other high-rises such as Tata Centre (18 floors), 79.2 metres (260 ft) and Everest House (21 floors), 84 metres (276 ft) are also located in Chowringhee. Apart from the CBD, the region of B.B.D. Bagh and Babughat also have several high-rises. The Salt Lake City and Rajarhat regions (which already have several high-rises) are undergoing a massive construction boom, with hundreds of high-rises under construction. The city got its first residential high-rise in 2004 when the 'Peak' block was opened in Hiland Park. It has 28 floors with a height of 86 metres (282 ft). This created a new idea of constructing residential high-rises other than office buildings or commercial buildings. In 2008, South City Towers (36 floors), 117 metres (384 ft) were completed in Jodhpur Park in South Kolkata which became the first 100 metres (328 ft) plus buildings of the city. Again in October 2013, Towers 2 and 6 of Urbana topped out which are currently the tallest buildings in the city. All these developments have changed the skyline of this city. The 42 is under-construction which will rise upto a height of 268 metres (879 ft) and will have 62 floors. This project is almost topped out and once complete, it will be the tallest building in the city and one of the tallest buildings in the country. There are plans to extend the Urbana society to the group of buildings called Urbana II and the Urbana Twisted Tower, which are over 200 and 300 metres tall respectively.
