A royal wedding is a marriage ceremony involving members of a royal family. Weddings involving senior members of the royal family are often seen as important occasions of state and attract significant national and international attention.
Westminster Abbey has a long tradition as a venue for royal weddings, although there was a hiatus of these from 1382 until 1919, and only two of these weddings were of the reigning monarch of the time (Henry I and Richard II).

Together, they have a biracial son, Prince Alfons (born 18 May 2001 in London), who is in the line of succession to the Liechtensteini throne.
