This is a list of commonly used acronyms of regional designations used for government, marketing and business purposes.

  • EEMEA: Eastern Europe, Middle East and Africa. Some companies separate their Eastern European business from the rest of Europe, and refer to the EEMEA region separately from the Western/Central European (EU/EFTA) region.

  • GAS: Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. The greatest part of German speaking Regions in Central Europe.

  • LATCAR: Latin America and Caribbean
  • LEVANT: Cyprus, Egypt, Iraq, Israel, Jordan, Lebanon, Palestine, Syria, and Turkey

  • MART: Middle East, Africa, Russia and Turkey.
  • MENA: Middle East and North Africa.
  • MEP: Middle East and Pakistan.
  • MEMC: Middle East, Monaco and China

    • N

  • NACE: North Atlantic and Central Europe
  • NAMET: North Africa, Middle East and Turkey
  • NORAM or NA or NAMER: North American Region, Canada and the US, NORAM (Mexico is included)
  • NALA: North America and Latin America
  • NAFTA: North American Free Trade Agreement

    • P

  • PIGS: Portugal, Ireland, Greece and Spain. Countries that needed EU support to avoid bakruptcy of main banks (Some later variants include Italy)

  • SEA: South-East Asia.
  • SEMEA: Southern Europe, Middle East and Africa.
  • SEEMEA: South-Eastern Europe, Middle East and Africa.
