Premise

Encantadia is an exciting tale about love and hope, heroism, complex adventures about the mysterious legendary world they belong. It is the struggles of the noble saviors Alena, Danaya, Pirena, and Amihan. Their journey from being a Diwani to Sang'gre and now as a Hara in their kingdoms that orders peace in the realm. With their heirs and heiresses, Lira, Mira, Paopao, Armea, Deshna with Gilas, Ariana (sarkosi of Amihan), and Muyak (a pixie or lambana destined to be a new tagapangalaga or savior guardian). It is their greatness and noble heart that will end the vengeful Adhara, Hagorn, and Avria. It is also a tale about the quest of the Hara Duryé Cassiope-a to be a bathaluman with Emre who will reign and save the good Encantos and Encantas from the evil deities Arde and Ether.

Sang'gres of Lireo

Cassiope-a / Matá

Portrayed by Solenn HeussaffThe first queen of Lireo, cursed by the Bathalang Emre to live all eternity. Known as Ang Mata (the Eye) of Encantadia, Cassiopea has the power of precognition, which she uses to help the citizens of Encantadia look for answers, in exchange for gold. During her reign as the Queen of Lireo, she adopted an infant diwata named LilaSari, who she considers as her daughter. Cassiopea was cursed by Bathalumang Ether to be confined at the forest to prevent her from changing things which benefits other Sang'gres. She became a bathaluman after defeating Ether.

Adhara

Portrayed by Sunshine DizonNext in line to the throne of Lireo, after her ashti Hara Demetria, who was the queen that time, died. Cassiopea however chose the young Sang'gre Mine-a as the new Queen, much to Adhara's dismay. Sang'gre Adhara was defeated by Mine-a. In her death, she arrived in Balaak, the hell of Encantadia, but was granted by Bathalang Arde the opportunity to come back to life through the sacrifice of the lives of the good. By her return in Lireo, he was sent to the Carcero by Vish'ka upon the latter's orders; there, she started a revolution with other imprisoned diwatas to bring the Lireo Kingdom down. She has since been deceased, having been killed off by Hara Amihan II in the latter's quest to find her daughter Lira.

Ynang Reyna Mine-a

Portrayed by Marian Rivera and Janice Hung (Mine-a in disguise)Appointed Queen of Lireo by Cassiopea, Mine-a was once the keeper of all four elemental gems. Mine-a passed the throne to her second daughter, Amihan II. She is the daughter of Esmeralda, who was known as the most powerful Diwata of her time, and sister to Amihan I. Mine-a is the mother of Sang'gres Pirena, Amihan II, Alena, and Danaya and grandmother of Sang'gres Lira, Mira, and Kahlil. She was killed with a poisoned arrow by Prinsipe Asval of Sapiro.

Amihan (I)

Portrayed by Max CollinsSister of Ynang Reyna Mine-a. Sang'gre Amihan I died on the hands of her own sister accidentally after Adhara used her as cover during a battle with Mine-a. Minea's daughter was given the same name after her death .

Pirena

Portrayed by Glaiza de Castro, Barbara Miguel (Teen Diwani Pirena) and Andrea Elaine Julian (Child Diwani Pirena)The daughter of Mine-a to then prince Hagorn of Hathoria. She is the mother of Sang'gre Mira, who is currently masked as Amihan's daughter, Sang'gre Lira. Pirena is the keeper of the Brilyante ng Apoy (Jewel of Fire). She has the ability to control fire and by the help of her gemstone, she can shapeshift into anyone in the kingdom. She is currently ruling as the Hara of the now rebuilt kingdom of Hathoria.

Amihan (II)

Portrayed by Kylie Padilla and Dayara Shane (Diwani Amihan)Named after Mine-a's dead sister, Amihan, she is the second daughter of Ynang Reyna Mine-a, the love child and only offspring to Prinsipe Raquim of Sapiro, and the mother of Sang'gre Lira. Amihan is the keeper of Brilyante ng Hangin (Jewel of Air). She has the ability to manipulate air and forecast the weather and by the help of her gemstone, she can fly. Later on she was killed by Hagorn, king of Hathoria, then came back from Devas with Kahlil as an ivtre to battle the hadezar soldiers of Hagorn.

Alena / Akesha

Portrayed by Gabbi Garcia and Althea Ablan (Diwani Alena)The third daughter of Mine-a, and her first offspring with the Sapirian hunter, Enuo. Sang're Alena is the mother of Sang'gre Kahlil, her son to Prinsipe Ybrahim of Sapiro. Alena is the keeper of Brilyante ng Tubig (Jewel of Water). She has the ability to do anything with water and she has her own ability and power to use her voice that can daze people and loose their control or even kill. She became the protector of Adamya and current keeper of Lupig .

Danaya / DanayaSari

Portrayed by Sanya Lopez and JC Movido (Diwani Danaya)Mine-a's fourth and youngest daughter, and her second child with Enuo, a Sapirian hunter, making Sang'gres Alena and Danaya the only full-blooded sisters among the four. Danaya is the keeper of Brilyante ng Lupa (Jewel of Earth). She has the ability to control the environment and nature and by the help of her gemstone, she can transform into any animal she wishes. After Amihan's death , she became the new queen of Lireo .

Lira / Milagros

Portrayed by Mikee Quintos and Chlaui Malayao (Diwani Lira)Reyna Amihan's daughter with Prinsipe Ybrahim of Sapiro and paternal older half-sister of Kahlil. Sang'gre Lira was banished by her Ashti (aunt) Pirena to the human world when she was still an infant and even try to kill her but she was given a protection by her Ashti Danaya against anyone who wished to do something against her especially Pirena. She was also given a power of beautiful voice by her Ashti Alena. Sang'gre Lira is the rightful heiress to the throne of Lireo. She has the ability of unique speed. She is a third generation sang'gre. Was chosen as the new guardian of the Brilyante ng Lupa.

Mira / "Lira"

Portrayed by Kate Valdez and Kariz Edren Espinosa (Diwani Lira/Mira)The daughter of Sang'gre Pirena to an unknown Lirean soldier. Her mother gave birth to her as part of her plot to take over the throne of Lireo. She is a diwani of Hathoria and Lireo and had a relationship with Anthony during her stay in the mortal realm. She wears a red armor similar to Pirena's red armor and wearing a red dress in the later part of the series. She is also a third generation sang'gre. Was chosen as the new guardian of the Brilyante ng Tubig.

Kahlil

Portrayed by Avery ParaisoThe first known male Sang'gre, Kahlil is the first child of Sang'gre Alena and Prinsipe Ybrahim. He is destined to kill his half-sister, Sang'gre Lira. When he first meet the Lirean Queen, Cassiopea attempted to manipulate Kahlil to prevent the foreseen future from happening, while Bathaluman Ether ordered Haring Hagorn to take Kahlil into his care. He was later killed by his Ashti Danaya. Kahlil then returned with Amihan as an ivtre from Devas. He is also a male third generation sang'gre.

Lirean Army

Aquil

Portrayed by Rocco NacinoGeneral of the Lirean army. Aquil is a loyal friend and soldier to the Ynang Reyna during her reign. He trained the queen's four daughters to reach their full potentials in fighting with dignity. He then started a relationship with Danaya. Currently has no specific allegiance with any kingdom.

Muros

Portrayed by Carlo GonzalesA trusted Lirean soldier & second-in command to Aquil. He then became first in command after Aquil left Lireo.

Hitano/Verdano

Portrayed by Pancho MagnoA Lirean soldier who is obsessively attracted to Sang'gre Alena. Hitano accepted Sang'gre Pirena's offer to live with the memory-removed Alena in the mortal world. He then came back to Lireo to find Alena (who escaped him) only to be captured by Adhara. He has a love interest in LilaSari.

Icarus

Portrayed by Ervic VijandreThe Lirean Soldier who assisted Pirena in starting a rebellion with other diwatas which ended in fall of Hara Amihan II. Upon Sang'gre Pirena's claiming of the throne, he became the Mashna, or Head Soldier of the royal army. He was killed by Ybarro.

Mira’s father

Portrayed by Ken AlfonsoPirena used him to have a child, before she killed him. He is the father of Sang'gre Mira.

Lambana

Portrayed by Klea PinedaA lambana (pixie) friend of Sang'gre Alena. Muyak is Sang'gre Lira's guide and teacher in the mortal world. She is now one of the new guardians of the Brilyante ng Hangin. She also became a retre of Devas .

Portrayed by Betong SumayaA loyal friend and companion of Enuo, Rael joined the Sapiran's journey to the mortal world, where they now resides for good.

LilaSari / DanayaSari

Portrayed by Diana ZubiriA cursed diwata with the power to transform anyone who look at her face into stone. As an infant, she was adopted by Reyna Cassiopea, who gave her a powerful mask to prevent LilaSari from harming other citizens of Lireo. Even though not a Sang'gre, she was once chosen by Cassiopea to be the next Queen of Lireo, but becauae of her envious attitude, Cassiopea decided not to. LilaSari then attempted to kill her adopted mother, but she cannot overpower the queen. Cassiopea then sent LilaSari to Carcero for her crimes against the queen. Sang'gre Adhara obliged LilaSari to join her revolution against the Lireo Kingdom . She became 8th Queen of Lireo succeeding the enthronement of former Queen Pirena and had a child with King Hagorn named Deshna. She lived with her newfound love Hitano in the mortal world to hide in the hands of Hagorn. After Hitano was killed by Hagorn, LilaSari made revenge to the diwatas and later, Cassiope-a revealed that her blood has the power to redeem Etheria. Currently allied with Etheria.

Mayca

Portrayed by Cheska IñigoMayca was a prisoner in Carcero, with her sister, Kaizan. Together with her sister, and LilaSari, they joined Sang'gre Adhara's revolution against Lireo to bring it down. She then became first in command of the Sapiro army.

Kaizan

Portrayed by Mara AlbertoYounger sister of Mayca, and just like her sister, a prisoner in Carcero. They joined Sang'gre Adhara's revolution against Lireo to bring it down. She became second in command of the Sapiryan army.

Transformed Diwata

Pao-Pao / Paolo

Portrayed by Yuan Francisco (young), Phytos Ramirez (adult) and Rodjun Cruz (Soul Guardian)Pao-Pao is the adopted son of Queen Amihan II, and adopted younger brother of Sang'gre Lira. Originally a human from the mortal world, 6-year-old Pao-Pao was abducted by the a group called Barbaros and forced him to eat enchanted black rice which made him a permanent diwata. He later became the keeper of the fifth Brilyante, which holds the power of the other four Brilyantes, and gave him the power to transform into a full-grown warrior (by summoning its kambal-diwa Rodjun Cruz). He (the Kambal-Diwa) then became a Hathor and worked with the forces of Hagorn trying to conquer Lireo. Amihan took Paopao to the mortal realm to finally see his parents. After years have passed, he's now an adult and was chosen again by Cassiopeia to be the keeper of the Brilyante ng Diwa once more.

Carcero

Hafte Lanzu

Portrayed by Maureen LarrazabalThe Chief of Carcero, prison of criminal diwatas, Hafte Lanzu take orders from the Queen of Lireo. She started an illegal match where in she forced the prisoners to fight each other. After an uprising in Carcero, headed by prisoner Sang'gre Adhara, which led into a massive prisoner break out, Queen Pirena killed Hafte Lanzu as punishment.

Orthana

Portrayed by Ge VillamilHafte Lanzu's right hand woman and head guard of Carcero. She was killed by LilaSari during the prisoners' uprising and breakout.

Raquim

Portrayed by Dingdong DantesCousin of Haring Armeo, father of Amihan II to Mine-a, queen of Lireo. Raquim was killed in the mortal world by Hagorn.

Armeo

Portrayed by Jestoni AlarconFather of Prinsipe Ybrahim who was killed by King Arvak during the war of Sapiro and Lireo against Hathoria. Armeo is the original keeper of Brilyante ng Lupa (Jewel of Earth).

Rama Ybrahim / Ybarro

Portrayed by Ruru MadridSon of Haring Armeo. Adopted by the chief of Mandirigma tribe, Apitong, as an infant, after the fall of Sapiro. Father of Sang'gre Lira to the Queen of Lireo, Amihan, and Sang'gre Kahlil to Sang'gre Alena. Rightful heir to the throne of Sapiro. Ybrahim is also known as Kalasag. He is now a king of Sapiro after the fall of Hagorn.

Asval

Portrayed by Neil Ryan SeseOne of the survivors after the fall of Sapiro. Asval is a traitor to the kingdom for attempting to kill the heir of Haring Armeo, and for killing Reyna Mine-a of Lireo, the biggest ally of Sapiro. He now works for Etheria.

Mayne

Portrayed by Jaycee ParkerThe wife of Armeo and mother to Prinsipe Ybrahim of Sapiro. She is the queen of Sapiro and once equipped a dagger but was stoked by Agane after killing her. She tried to heal herself but didn't survive so she told Apitong to take Ybarro to adopt him.

Alira Naswen

Portrayed by Julienne LeeOne of the surviving Sapirians after the fall of Sapiro. Alira Naswen headed the other surviving Sapirian soldiers as they relocated to Lireo, the allied kingdom of Sapiro. She is shown to have a romantic interest with Aquil, head of the Lirean Army. She is the rival of Sang'gre Danaya to Aquil. She was killed after being strucked by a Hathor.

Dagtum

Portrayed by Edwin ReyesOne of the surviving Sapirians after the fall of Sapiro, who sided with Prinsipe Asval. Now works with Rama Ybrahim.

Portrayed by Rafa Siguion-ReynaA brave Sapirian hunter, chosen by Bathalang Emre to be the father of Lireo's Reyna Mine-a's third and fourth children, Sang'gre Alena and Sang'gre Danaya. He once saved the infant Sang'gre Amihan II from an attempted assassination by Gurna. He currently lives in the mortal world, where he assisted his daughter, Danaya, as well as Muyak, into going back to Encantadia. In the later part in the series he finally saw his other daughter sang'gre Alena.

Portrayed by Christian BautistaThe chief of Mandirigma tribe. As a request by the dying Queen Asnara of Sapiro, he took care of Prinsipe Ybrahim as his own.

Portrayed by Buboy VillarYbarro's friend and companion. Wantuk uses spear as his main weapon for fighting.

Pakô

Portrayed by James TengAnother one of Ybarro's friend and companion. Just like Wantuk, he also uses spear. Pakô was killed by Hagorn in war during the fall of Lireo.

Portrayed by Conan StevensThe leader of Ascano. Vish'ka was a friend to Sang'gre Adhara, whom he also made her powerful weapon Lupig. He betrayed Adhara after the supposedly long dead Sang'gre resurfaced, by sending Adhara to the Lirean guards. He also created Sang'gre Lira's armor . Vish'ka was killed by Haring Hagorn.

Portrayed by Andre ParasVish'ka's righthand man who makes business with the Kalasag, by collecting gathered weapons in exchange for golds. A friend of Ybrahim and the Sang'gres Lira and Mira.

Portrayed by Miguel TanfelixA young Mulawin in training who aided Hara Amihan on her request to find the missing Ybarro. He was the lone survivor of the Mulawin genocide, orchestrated by Haring Hagorn of Hathoria. (Pagaspas is an original character from the TV Series Mulawin, and its preceding film, also played by Tanfelix.)

Portrayed by Alden RichardsA Mulawin living in the mortal world, not particularly in Avila, who will fight for the Diwatas. He assisted Sang'gres Danaya and Lira into their journey to return in Encantadia. His mother, siblings, wife, and child died during the Mulawin genocide by Haring Hagorn.

She initially possessed Cassiopeia's body to start her evil plans, but eventually was able to recreate her own body through Cassiopeia's power, got out and placed in Etherian casket for three days.
