List of Algerian records in swimming

The Algerian Records in swimming are the fastest times ever swum by a swimmer representing Algeria. These records are kept/maintained by the Algeria's national swimming federation: Fédération Algerienne de Natation (FAN).

Contents

Records are recognized for males and females in the following long course (50m) and short course (25m) events:

  • freestyle: 50, 100, 200, 400, 800 and 1500;
  • backstroke: 50, 100 and 200;
  • breaststroke: 50, 100 and 200;
  • butterfly: 50, 100 and 200;
  • individual medley (I.M.): 100 (25m only), 200 and 400;
  • relays: 4x100 free, 4x200 free, and 4 × 100 medley.
  • All records were set in finals unless noted otherwise.

  • ^ Note 1: The current source lists the 50 free record as 26.24 by Fella Bennaceur from the 2009 French Championships. However, results from the meet show that Bennaceur went a 26.84.
  • ^ Note 2: The current source lists the 100 free record as 57.36 by Fella Bennaceur from the 2008 French Championships. However, results from the meet show that she went 59.29 in the event, and led-off a relay in 58.34.

  • ^ Note-m25-1: In the current source, the men's 50 free record is listed as 21.40 by Nabil Kebbab at the 2008 Short Course Worlds; however, results from the meet (Prelims Semifinals), show that he went 21.77 at the meet.
  • ^ Note-m25-2: In the current source, the men's 100 free record is listed as 47.00 by Nabil Kebbab at the 2008 Short Course Worlds; however, results from the meet show that his fastest time at the meet was 47.60.
  • ^ Note-m25-3: In the current source, the men's 50 breast record is listed as 27.43 by Nabil Kebbab at the 2009 French Championships. However, the French Swimming Federation has Kebbab's fastest-time-ever in French competition as 27.91.
  • ^ Note-m25-4: In the current source, the men's 100 breast record is listed as 1:00.03 by Nabil Kebbab at the 2009 French Championships. However, the French Swimming Federation has Kebbab's fastest-time-ever in French competition as 1:00.88.
