Early life

Lindsay France grew up in Wenatchee, Washington and attended Wenatchee High School. She graduated with a bachelor's degree in International Affairs from Seattle Pacific University and served as the school's Amnesty International chapter president.

Career

Prior to her work at RT America, Lindsay was based in Moscow with RT International. She delivered extensive live coverage on the ground from Moscow's Sheremtyevo Airport, where National Security Agency leaker Edward Snowden took refuge from the American government after his public disclosure of top secret information. She anchored breaking news of the suicide terrorist bombing in Volgograd, the Boston Marathon bombing, the Iran nuclear deal, riots in Kiev's Maidan Square and the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi.

While based in Russia, much of her reporting focused on domestic issues such as post-Soviet graft, racism, homophobia and animal cruelty laws, orphans, human trafficking, and the Russian space program, Roscosmos. From Kazakhstan, France delivered a three-part series on the devasting effects of the Soviet planned economy on the Aral Sea. France returned to Kazakhstan in 2011 to cover the blast off of voyage 29 to the International Space Station.
