Career

She has been an editor for Thomas (iggle) Parfitt and has worked with Deseret Book. She was the editor of Encyclia and Benson Institute Review and the managing editor of Literature and Belief.. Adams was the president of the Association of Mormon Letters from 2006-2007.

Adams is one of the editors with the Joseph Smith Papers Project. She also is on the editorial staff of the magazine Pioneer which is published by the Sons of the Utah Pioneers.

Religion

Adams is a Latter-day Saint and has served on the Church's general committee for singles.
